WOSM Circular 20/2011 – Support for the Participation of Other Regions at Upcoming Events

Partnerships with Other Regions is a key priority of the European Regional Scout Plan 2010-2013, with a focus on the Africa, Arab and Eurasia Regions. Over the next year, there are key events that will be enriched by the presence of participants from other Regions and where we would like to ask for your help to ensure their participation.
These events include:
- The Europe-Eurasia Meeting (Prague, Czech Republic, November 25-27 2011)
- The Partnerships Event (North-South Network) (Paris, France, 15-18 March 2012)
- AGORA (Kandersteg, Switzerland, 18-23 April 2012)
- Roverway (Evo, Finland, 20-28 July 2012)
In line with the priority “Partnerships with Other Regions”, these events are open to Scouts from other Regions. The events can provide great opportunities for exchange with other Regions and can be used to further strengthen your partnerships by providing an ideal meeting space. They also provide the opportunity to explore new multilateral partnerships with the other associations present.

WOSM Circular 19/2011 – The 7th European Educational Methods Forum

Call for Partners to join funding project – The European Educational Methods Forum, which has been, for more than 10 years, the main meeting point for national commissioners for Youth Programme and Adult Resources/Training and members of their teams.
Hundreds of “satisfied customers” can testify that the Forum is an excellent opportunity for real networking among people sharing the same responsibility, a great training event and a laboratory for the future Regional programmes and projects. Countless partnerships have been forged during the Forums and many of the developments in the Region had their roots in discussions and sessions during this event.
Four years after the previous Forum (which took place in Obidos, Portugal, in 2008) the European Scout Region is proposing the
7th edition – scheduled to take place in the beautiful touristic resort of Predeal, in the heart of the Transylvanian Alps, in Romania, between 30 May and 3 June 2012.

Young European 2012

The Schwarzkopf-foundation is looking for young people from Europe between the ages of 18 and 26 who are imaginative and active in an honorary capacity engaged for the European understanding and integration. Young people prepared to grasp the opportunities of our time in forging peaceful coexistence in a Europe of diversity.
Each year with this prize the Schwarzkopf Foundation rewards a young European for his/her outstanding commitment to fostering international understanding and the union of Europe. At the same time we want to encourage and motivate these young people to continue to champion these ideals.
The sum donated for the prize is € 5.000. This amount is intended to finance a six-month internship with a Member of the European Parliament or another European institution. It is also possible to use the sum to finance a project which promotes European integration. Such a project must further the aims of the Schwarzkopf Foundation and receive the agreement of the Foundation’s Management board in order to be accepted.
The award-winner will be chosen by a jury of personalities from the European Youth Parliament, the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Schwarzkopf Young Europe Foundation.
Deadline for entries: 30 October 2011
