Regional Circular 13 2017 – Open Call to solicit project under MOP “Mini Grants in Europe II”

The European Scout Region through the Regional Decision Committee (RDC) of the Messenger of Peace (MOP) Initiative of WOSM is launching a new open call for “Mini Grants Projects” to be submitted not later than 15 August 2017.

The “Mini Grants Project” is to support a total of three such projects in the European Region to be implemented from 1 September 2017 for one year.

Regional Circular 12 2017: Open Call to recruit Regional Volunteers: Finance Support Group (3) and Volunteer Management Team (1)

The European Scout Region recently closed the initial round of recruitment for the teams supporting the delivery of the Regional Scout Plan. At present, we advise of two opportunities for additional recruitment in the Supporting our Finances and Continuous Improvement Areas of Operation:

1) Supporting our Finances Area of Operation– Financial Support Group (three vacancies)
2) Continuous Improvement Area of Operation – Volunteer Management Team (one vacancies)

Joint Call for Participants: The Academy 2017

The European Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the Europe Region of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is pleased to call for participants for The Academy 2017, which is scheduled to take place in Eszterdom, Hungary, from 31 October to 5 November 2017, hosted by Magyar Cserkészszövetség (the Hungarian Scout Association) and Magyar Cserkészlány Szövetség (the Association of Hungarian Girl Guides).

What is The Academy?

The Academy is a unique Scout and Guide event designed to provide participants with high quality training and networking opportunities around the core priorities of the European Regions of WAGGGS and WOSM.

Who should attend The Academy?

The event is open to everyone holding a position at National or Regional Level in any of our Associations, from members of particular working groups to Chief Commissioners.

What are the topics at The Academy?                             

During the event, participants will be able to choose a learning pathways for the five categories mentioned below. We would like to encourage participants to choose from a variety of sessions per day (ideally from the same of similar pathways), composing their own training plan to match their position and particular needs. A broad range of sessions dealing with different areas of work will be offered simultaneously, with enough on offer to make the event interesting for everyone.
