The Academy – Content Volunteer Needed

We are looking for you! Get ready to live an amazing experience with almost 200 participants from all over Europe!

We need a content volunteer for the planning team of The Academy 2019!

What do you need to be a support content volunteer?

● Be volunteer of a Member Organisation of WAGGGS;
● Have an IC approval to fill the role
● Have previous experience(s) with Academy;
● Be able to communicate effectively in English; good to have French;
● Have previous experience with organising training activities;
● Represent and appreciate the diversity of the Europe Region WAGGGS;
● Be able to think strategically
● Be committed to accomplish the tasks agreed with the rest of the Support Team (a sample of tasks is listed below);
● Be available for online contacts and agreed internet meetings;
● If possible and strongly encouraged to be present at the first preparatory meeting. The meeting will take place 7-9th June in Slovenia.
● Being present at the event itself is required for the Support Content Manager

WAGGGS is seeking dynamic people to join the Conference Planning Team and deliver the following key roles;

If you are interested, applications (details below), must be returned before 4 February 2018 and will be assessed on merit, using criteria set by the Regional Committee, and all applicants will be notified if they have been successful or not before 15 February 2019.

Call for Volunteers

Sharing is Caring: make a difference on the GGGS Rovers and Rangers Educational Method.

The Europe Region WAGGGS is looking for a group of volunteers who are passionate about the Girl Guide and Girl Scout educational method and ensuring that all age groups within Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting experience a high quality programme of relevant and engaging content. 

In this role, you will support the development of a publication to share good practices and to develop a set of guidelines on how the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting method can be applied to the Rovers and Rangers age group.

Engagement:

  • an average of 4 hours of work per week from January to July
  • attending a 4 days event from 15 to 19 May 2019, called Sharing is Caring.
