Call for Participants – Hand in Hand. Stronger Together (Regional Circular 26 2018)

The European Scout Region and its partners in the Time to be Welcome project are inviting interested members of National Scout Organisations (NSOs) of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) to a four-day event in Brussels, Belgium, from 7-10 December 2018.

Under the title Hand in Hand. Stronger together the event will address questions and share best practices related to how associations can reach out and include refugees and migrants in Scouting.

The event is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, the KAICIID International Dialogue Centre, and the Messengers of Peace Support Fund.

Communication and Partnerships Intern Needed

The European Scout Region is looking for a Communication and Partnerships intern who will support the area of external communication by contributing to our bimonthly newsletter and proposing articles for various social media platforms. The intern will also be expected to represent Scouting  in external meetings , support the development of funding applications by developing first draft projects and helping collecting relevant information from external partners.

Duration: 6 months

Beginning: 12 Feb 2018

Ending: 08 Aug 2018

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Profile:

  • University degree in law, communication, social or political sciences
  • Good capacity to work in a team
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good level of English is needed – any other languages are an asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office and social media networks

Regional Circular 9 – [INVITATION] – Scouting for Peace: Building the Open Spiritual Development Network

Regional Circular 9 2017 presents you the invitation to participate in the European Scout Region’s Diversity & Inclusion Event  “Scouting for Peace: Building the Open Spiritual Development Network SPIRITECO”, which is scheduled to take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 9 to 11 June 2017.

The aim of the event is to offer structure and support to the SPIRITECO Network to be ready to support European National Scout Organisations and National Scout Association in introducing open spiritual development, targeting spiritual development for young people regardless of their confession of personal beliefs, in their curricula.

Application Deadline in 22 May 2017.
