WOSM Circular 3/2012

In 2012 the programme experienced important changes and the main aim of this Circular is to make sure that NSOs/NSAs are aware of them and can consequently apply for projects respecting the new rules, including new deadlines. As you know, the Youth in Action programme of the European Commission has been, since its creation, a valuable way to support Scout activities all around Europe and beyond. The European Region itself receives every year an administrative grant in the frame of this programme to support the office in Brussels. Also several European events in the past years received grants from the Youth in Action programme allowing participants from NSO/NSAs to have 70% of their travel costs covered and reduced participation fees. Taking all these elements into consideration, the European Region is keen to keep promoting the use of the Youth in Action programme with NSO/NSAs as we outlined in the recent overview of funding opportunities described in Circular 1/2012.
