16th European Guide and Scout Conference

Some 400 representatives of National Scout Organisations (NSOs), National Scout Associations (NSAs), Member Organisations (MOs) and Component Associations (CAs) of the European Regions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) will be gathering in Split, Croatia, from 24 to 28 August 2019 for the 16th European Guide and Scout Conference and the concurrently organised 16th European Guide Conference and 23rd European Scout Conference.

International Commissioners’ Forum 2019

The European Regional Committees of WAGGGS and WOSM have agreed that they will organise, in cooperation with Savez Izviđača Srbije (Савез Извиђача Србије, the Scout Association of Serbia), the International Commissioners’ Forum 2019 with a number of objectives including:

  • Providing an opportunity for sharing experiences between International Commissioners;
  • Provide a platform to offer induction training to new International Commissioners;
  • To provide an opportunity to review progress on work resulting from the strategic partnership and to inform planning of future work in partnership;
  • To stimulate new ideas, tools and services.

The IC Forum 2019 is scheduled to take place at Hotel 88 Room in Belgrade, Serbia, from 22 to 24 February 2019.

The participation fee is subject to the desired accommodation at the hotel:

  • shared twin room EUR 336 (EUR 112 per night)
  • single room EUR 470 (EUR 157 per night)
  • shared triple room EUR 306 (EUR 102 per night)

Network Meeting for Guide and Scout External Representatives 2019

The Network Meeting for Guide and Scout External Representatives is an annual event organized by Europe Region WAGGGS and the EuropeaN Scout Region of WOSM. Guides and Scouts who represent their association on various external platforms, including their National Youth Councils, are invited to attend this event.
The aim of the meeting is to improve our members’ standing and impact on society by supporting them in the field of external relations. It provides the opportunity for volunteers who are working in the field of external relations, communications, partnerships or other closely related areas to come together to explore how conducting external relations can help our member organisations to better fulfill the mission for Scouting and Guiding.
The next Network Meeting for Guide and Scout External Representatives is schedule to take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 17 to 20 January 2019.

Joint Survey: Collaboration of WAGGGS & WOSM in Europe (Joint Communication 11 2018)

A Joint Survey has been developed to help gather your feedback by 10 September 2018.

Chief Volunteers’ Network Meeting 2017

The European Scout Region of the World Organnization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the Europe Region WAGGGS jointly organise the next Chief Volunteers’ Network Meeting in February 2018 and invite chief volunteers and persons holding similar positions in their Scout or Guide associations to participate. It will take place at the Kapralův mlýn Scout Environmental Education Centre, near Brno (CZ), from 9 to 11 February 2018.

The Meeting aims to provide a space for Chief Volunteers to meet, to network and to share good practice and ideas. It builds on networking events held at Regional Conferences and other events when there was a clear desire to find opportunities for these important volunteers to share and mix with their peers. It is a non-formal opportunity to share experiences and strategies, networking and chances to make new contacts and find mutual support.

Kapralův mlýn Scout Environmental Education Centre
, some 10km north-east of Brno (CZ), with train/bus connections from Prague (2h40), Bratislava (1h30) and Vienna (2h05)

DATE
9-11 February 2018
The programme will start with dinner in the evening of Friday, 9 February, and conclude with lunch on Sunday, 11 February 2018

CALL FOR THEMES
Following the tradition from similar events in the past the themes addressed during the event will be based on suggestions coming from participants, including the sharing of best practices and how challenges are addressed.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
Chief Volunteers and other persons holding similar positions in their Guide or Scout association are invite to complete the online registration form before 6 Januray 2018.
