In August/ September 2019, WAGGGS will be hosting a Free Being Me and/or Action on Body Confidence international training event in Europe.

Programme Co-Ordinator Vacancy

About the role

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to support the Deputy World Centre Manager – Programme by ensuring the smooth operation of events and volunteer programmes at Our Chalet.

You will lead and have key responsibility for implementing on-site & off-site programmes for our international guests. Other duties include administrative tasks associated with delivering the programme of events, training and monitoring of volunteers and some direct programme delivery.

About You

As a successful candidate, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and be great at developing collaborative working relationships with staff & volunteers in cross-cultural settings.

You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be highly organised, team oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Written and spoken language skills in English is essential, with the knowledge of other languages desirable.

If you care about opportunities for girls around the world, have programme delivery experience, and can start on July 2019, this could be the role for you!

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS – RoverNet VentureNet Network Meetings 2019 (Regional Circular 15 2019)

The European Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is happy to launch this Call for Participants for  the 7th edition of RoverNet and the 4th edition of VentureNet Network Meetings, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, from 9-12 May 2019.

This event is a great opportunity for all National Commissioners in charges of Venture and Rover age sections (or members of their respective national teams) to meet and exchange knowledge, experiences, add contacts and build bridges for future international collaborations. Make sure to register before 2 April 2019.

Suite à une demande du Forum des Commissaire internationaux de publier une liste d’options que le Comité Européen du Scoutisme de l’Organisation Mondiale du Mouvement Scout (OMMS) aurait discutées ou considérées comme des alternatives à la proposition de changement-de-cycle, le Comité Européen du Scoutisme fait circuler ce document de dicussion après sa réunion du 10 mars 2019.
L’intention est de faciliter davantage l’examen de la proposition ou des arrangements alternatifs. Cette liste d’options n’est pas considérée comme complète ou défintive, mais il reflète les options examinées pa le Comité.

DISCUSSION PAPER – Alignment Options in Europe (Regional Circular 14_EN 2019)

Following a request at the International Commissioners’ Forum to publish a list of options that the Committe would have discussed or thought of as alternatives to its change-of-cycle proposal, the European Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is circulating a Discussion Paper after its meeting on 10 March 2019.
The intention is to further facilitate the dicussion on the proposal or alternative arrangements. The list of options is not deemed as complette or final but reflects the options discussed by the Committee.
