European Scout Foundation – Small Projects

ESF

WOSM ESR Circular 12 2013

Exciting information regarding how the European Scout Foundation will handle small projects in the immediate future. As you will be aware, the European Scout Foundation has rightly sought to support the development of Scouting in Central and Eastern Europe through the small projects initiative. This position is still vitally important, and continues to be wholeheartedly endorsed by the European Scout Committee.

Recognising how the prevailing economic situation continues to impact the development of Scouting across the whole of Europe, the European Scout Committee and the European Scout Foundation have agreed to relax the geographical constraints for small projects.

For a trial period of 1 July 2013 to the end of 2014, small projects from across the whole of Europe will be considered from applicants in difficult economic circumstances.

It will still be necessary to ensure that proposed small projects are of a good quality so that they can be ‘sold’ to those donors who are seeking opportunities to support the development of Scouting.

Please note that one additional change is made: that the required amount will be more flexible – so it will depend on the quality of the project, the justified amount of the budget and the impact of the proposal.
