The European Scout Region, in alignment with the Regional Scout Plan, is pleased to invite you to the Fundraiser Network Meeting, which will be held from 16 – 18 June 2014 in Brussels, Belgium.

This meeting is organised by the European Scout Region to offer NSOs and NSAs an opportunity to share best practices, challenges and needs in the field of fundraising, with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility. The overall idea of the network is to share and create information about on-going practices and resources in funding, as well as to provide a platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

At the Fundraiser Network Meeting, the objectives are:

• Sharing best practices in fundraising;
• Explore different funding opportunities at European level;
• Discuss about current challenges in fundraising, and possible support from the Region;
• Sharing knowledge on collaboration with the private sector, especially on Corporate Social Responsibility;

Who?

The target group of the Fundraiser Network Meeting are members of Organisations or Associations which are Member Organisations or Associations of WOSM, and which are interested in the topic.

Your delegation should contain persons who are working on fundraising for your association, preferably employees or volunteers actively engaged in fundraising. As this event is a network meeting and not a training, learning and inputs will mainly come from the participants themselves. We expect experienced fundraisers and newcomers that will directly make a use of the learning outcomes within their NSO/NSAs.

Costs

Participation fee Accommodation and board are entirely provided by the European Scout Region. Travel costs to reach the venue should be provided by your Association. In cases of hardship, please consult the Region for possible Global Support.
