13 January 2012 @ 18:00 - 15 January 2012 @ 14:00

SONY DSC

In October 2010 the second Training Commissioners Network Meeting was held in Madrid. At the meeting it was decided to have a network meeting for national training commissioners once a year to share experiences and work in depth with various topics. The Magyar Cserkészszövetség (Hungarian Scout Association) generously hosts this meeting.

Aims

The aim of the network meeting is to offer a motivating and informative opportunity for experts in the field of volunteering and youth leaders training to share experiences and learn from each other.

During the weekend we will work primarily on three different topics using and introducing the action learning method:

  • Quality of training,
  • Design and implementation of a Training System, and Woodbadge.
  • There will also be space provided to tackle several more topics that are of interest for the participants.

Objectives

The objectives of the meeting are to:

  • Create an opportunity to share best practices, to become inspired and reflect on different topics related to training such as: the development of new training systems and the implementation of those systems; how to assure quality of training and the use and development of Woodbadge trainings
  • Collect data to compare training provision for adult volunteers in Scouting (and Guiding);
  • Co-create a list with recommendations on developing and implementing new training systems;
  • Stimulate the participants to reflect on the needs of their organizations related to volunteers support and youth leaders’ training and then possibly to take actions to review strategies and approaches;
  • Inform and promote the use of European funding opportunities and other European material for training such as Training Kits
  • Facilitate the development of new transnational project and the future co-operation at European level
