EU-Africa Journey to Leadership WAGGGS WLDP Programme

4 September 2011 - 9 September 2011

Event Navigation

This event is a part of a one-year long project funded by the European Commission (action 3.2 Youth in the World).

Leadership could be considered as a mixture of talent, skills, awareness of own attitudes and other people reactions to these attitudes, caring and empathy for the people and tasks that one leads. Understanding leadership is being aware of attitudes and reaction to those one leads, as well as reflecting on the – conscious or unconscious – reason for these attitudes.

Pathways to leadership- Day 3
The WAGGGS Leadership Development Programme (WLDP) is broader than just programmes of activity or organized learning. The WLDP wants to give the opportunity and the framework to young women from all over the World to deepen reflection on leadership and to explore and share potentialities and understand better participants’ role and place as leaders.

The purpose of the WLDP is not only to develop WAGGGS leaders but also to build and develop the leadership within the Organisation. Leaders who take part in the WLDP will develop practical leadership skills to apply as a leader in their Member Organisations thus contributing to their Association’s growth and development through application of core leadership skills and knowledge.

Europe-Africa Journey to Leadership / WLDP in Action
