According to the Council of Europe, 1 European woman in 4 experiences domestic violence at some point in her life; one respondent in four in a recent EU survey knows a woman among friends or in the family circle who is a victim of domestic violence.
YOU can join the WAGGGS campaign “Stop the violence: Speak out for Girls Rights?” and help end the violence. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across Europe will discuss how violence affects girls and young women in Europe, how WAGGGS is taking action, get training on campaigning and lobbying and develop their own campaign or project on which they will work following the end of the seminar.
The seminar is taking place between 29th November and 4th December in the Scoutel Youth Hostel, Stoomstraat 3 – 7, 2018 Antwerp, Belgium.
